It is also used to drive a long connection tunnel southwards to King George’s Park and northwards to Carnwath Road Riverside, to connect the combined sewer overflows at Dormay Street and King George’s Park to the main tunnel. We would like to inform you that this month we start our piling works on the river wall located within the central section of our site.

Piling is needed to ensure the river wall is protected and secured before we construct and pile the cofferdam ahead of our interception chamber works.

The method used for these works will be push piling. However, where this may prove difficult, we could use vibration and impact (percussive) piling. These works will take approximately four weeks to complete.

If you have any queries, please contact our 24 hour Helpdesk on 08000 30 80 80.

The site will be closed for the Easter break from Friday 19 April and will reopen on Tuesday 23 April.

Our standard working hours are (with a 1-hour mobilisation period before and after these times):

  • Monday – Friday: 8am – 6pm

  • Saturday: 8am – 12 midday

Additionally, we have maintenance periods on the weekend:

  • Saturday: 1 – 5pm

  • Sunday: 10am – 4pm

There will be a period of 24-hour working. However, activities will be predominantly below ground

The date for the next King George's Park and Dormay Street CLWG will be on Thursday 11 July 2019, 7-9pm, at The Brewers Inn (147 East Hill, Wandsworth, SW18 2QB).
