Tideway hosts assessment workshop for potential apprentice candidates

On 5th March 2019, Tideway hosted an assessment workshop for potential apprentice candidates.

The session gave individuals the chance to learn from our current apprentices about their experience on the project, as well as get support on what skills is key when applying for these roles. The candidates were also provided with the guidance on how to dress for interviews and given top tips on CV writing.

One candidate mentioned that they “really enjoyed the hands-on experience” and another added that they “learnt quite a lot, especially from speak to the apprentices”.

With the UK predicted to need 182,000 new engineers by 2022, the skills gap in the engineering and construction industry is clear.

Tideway aims to help address this issue by inspiring and training the next generation of engineers, supervisors, operatives, and river workers, for both current and future projects.
