Tideway has received approval from the London Borough of Wandsworth for the permanent design of the Putney Embankment Foreshore.

The design provides a brand new public space for the local area incorporating high quality granite paving, seating areas, a new landmark for the University Boat Race start position as well as incorporating elements of Tideway’s operational infrastructure including the signature ventilation column and kiosk.

Jamie Gray, Stakeholder and Consents Manger said: “Following a consultation process that has lasted over two years, it is fantastic news to gain approval from the London Borough of Wandsworth.

“The new foreshore design is a high-quality addition to London’s cityscape and will leave a tangible public legacy for the Tideway project. This approved design is testament to the excellent collaborative relationship between client, contractor, local authority and the local community.”
